Whip Cream Salad
Ingredients
For the Base:
- 2 packages (3 oz each) lemon Jello
- 4 c water
- 2 sliced bananas
- 100 miniature marshmallows
- 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
For the Topping:
- 1 egg
- 1 c pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 c Cool Whip
Directions
- Prepare the Jello base:
- Cook Jello with water according to package directions and let it set slightly
- Add the bananas, marshmallows, and drained crushed pineapple
- Spread mixture in a 13 x 9 inch pan and let set
- Make the topping:
- In a saucepan, combine egg, pineapple juice, flour, and sugar
- Cook mixture until it thickens
- Just before removing from heat, add butter
- Let the custard cool completely
- Blend in Cool Whip
- Spread over the set Jello layer
- Chill before serving
